Frequently asked questions
The most common form of enjoying retirement living occupancy in Australia is a 49-year lease. This lease provides you with similar rights as a freehold title. There’s also the significant benefit of no stamp duty being payable on your new home. The Victorian Retirement Villages Act (1986) and other related legislation ensures your rights are protected.
